Sunshine has more than 20 years of experience in data administration oversight, project management, and operational improvements. She brings a unique blend of advanced technical skills and strong communication skills that allow her to effectively liaise across varied disciplines and stakeholders’’ groups. She provides comprehensive data administration solutions, including ensuring data integrity, assessing data quality, increasing efficiency and effectiveness of operations, and process documentation including the review and revision of policies and procedures.
Prior to joining Forvis Mazars, she gained more than 10 years of experience overseeing provider data management. In her role as the manager for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs’’ data management and claims operations management at Health Net Federal Services, Sunshine was responsible for managing the provider data for more than 350,000 providers. She oversaw a team of 300 employees, including 10 direct reports. Prior to her work within Health Net’’s VA program, Sunshine worked within the TRICARE division, where she managed a team of data analysts responsible for the automated loading and updating of provider data, geographic mapping of providers, and identification of data anomalies.
Before entering the healthcare industry, Sunshine worked in software development and configuration management. She worked as an application developer at two IT companies. In these roles, she honed her technical skills focusing on cross-platform communication and relational database design.
She is a graduate of Sierra College, Rocklin, California, with an A.S. degree in computer science.
