Rob Pruitt

Chief Practice Officer


With more than 28 years of public accounting experience, Rob’s role as chief practice officer provides executive leadership, sponsorship, coordination, and guidance of our national industry partners and practices, our internal firm growth initiatives, our product development initiatives and management, and our Marketing & Business Development department and go-to-market strategies.

He recently served as regional managing partner and member of the firm Governing Board. As a former tax partner, his experience included providing tax planning services for closely held and multinational corporations, including the analysis of tax issues impacting mergers and acquisitions and involvement with the due diligence team. He also has provided international tax planning services such as structuring support and foreign tax credit planning. He oversaw the central Indiana employee stock ownership plan practice, which assists clients and prospects with financial feasibility analyses, structure recommendations, and transaction implementation assistance.

Rob is a current member of the firmwide Employee Value Proposition Council and is involved in Forvis Mazars’ campus recruiting efforts. He previously led the firm’s senior manager training program for three years, was involved with the team that developed an individual income tax return compliance center for the Indianapolis office, and has served as an internal discussion leader on technical tax issues.

He is a member of the American Institute of CPAs, Indiana CPA Society, and United Way Tocqueville Society. He currently serves as the board chairman for the 500 Festival. He previously served as a board member for the Greater Indianapolis Chamber of Commerce and the Indianapolis Public Safety Foundation and was a founding board member of the Academy of Finance at Hamilton Southeastern High School. He also is an advisory board member of the Marian University Academy for Teaching and Learning Leadership. 

Rob formerly served as a member of the United Way Development Committee for several annual campaigns, treasurer of Phi Gamma Delta House Corporation, and treasury and budgeting chair for RCA Tennis Championships. He also is a former board member for Techpoint and the Techpoint PAC. Indianapolis Business Journal included Rob in its list of “Who’s Who in Banking and Financial Services.”

He is a graduate of Indiana University, Bloomington, with a B.S. degree in accounting.
