Forvis Mazars LLP, one of the largest public accounting and consulting firms in the United States, is proud to announce the appointment of Jim Gray as the new leader of its forensics practice in the state of Texas. The firm has office locations across Texas in Dallas, Fort Worth, Waco, Austin, San Antonio, and Houston.
A managing director based in Houston, Gray will lead teams of forensic accountants, compliance professionals and financial analysts, oversee complex engagements, and advise clients on the financial implications of disputes, misconduct, and unexpected events.
Gray has nearly 25 years of experience, and his work has focused on commercial damages and accounting investigations. His industry experience spans oil and gas, insurance, manufacturing, retail, real estate, and construction. His matters have been heard in federal and state courts, in arbitrations, and before regulatory agencies.
“I’m honored to step into this role and continue building on the strong foundation of our forensics practice," said Gray. "I look forward to working closely with our clients to help them navigate complex challenges with clarity, integrity, and practical insight.”
“We are thrilled to have Jim leading our Texas practice,” said Bryan Callahan, assistant managing partner of the Forensics & Valuation practice. “His breadth of experience will be a catalyst for providing an Unmatched Client Experience to our Texas clients, helping them move forward with confidence.”
“Jim brings deep experience translating complex financial data into clear, defensible analyses. His work strengthens our ability to deliver clear, credible insights and will be a tremendous asset for our firm and our clients across Texas and nationwide,” said Roy Strickland, managing partner of the firm’s national forensics practice.
Previously, Gray was a partner at a regional accounting and economics services firm. Earlier in his career, he practiced with various global professional services firms.
