Paul Truitt is the National Practice Leader and Service Line Leader for IT Risk & Compliance at Forvis Mazars. With more than 25 years of experience in cybersecurity, technology risk, and business technology solutions, he helps organizations identify, assess, and mitigate security risks while aligning cybersecurity programs with business objectives. His experience spans the retail, healthcare, manufacturing, and financial services industries.

Prior to joining Forvis Mazars, Paul served as a Managing Director with a large international accounting firm, where he led the U.S. cybersecurity practice. In that role, he oversaw services including managed detection and response, vulnerability management, penetration testing, security assessments, and cloud security. He also served as Head of Cyber Services and Chief Information Security Officer for a national managed services organization. Earlier in his career, Paul was the Head of Information Security for a major retail organization, providing him with firsthand experience leading security programs within complex business environments.

His unique combination of executive security leadership experience in industry and more than a decade of consulting experience enables him to deliver practical, business-focused cybersecurity solutions that balance risk management, regulatory requirements, and operational objectives.

Paul's technical expertise has been recognized through a cybersecurity bug bounty award for identifying and responsibly disclosing a remote exploit in an automotive remote access platform that could allow unauthorized vehicle access and remote operation. In addition, he was recognized as a 2025 Top Consultant by Consulting Magazine.

He holds several industry-leading certifications, including Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Hacking Forensic Investigator (CHFI), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), and Payment Card Industry Qualified Security Assessor (PCI QSA).

Paul earned a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and Management Information Systems from Salisbury University, MD, and a Master of Business Administration from Widener University, Chester, PA.
