Tom Watson, CEO of Forvis Mazars, LLP, ranked among the largest public accounting and consulting firms in the United States, is one of the industry’s most influential leaders according to Accounting Today.
Watson was included among the trade publication’s 2024 list of the Top 100 Most Influential People in Accounting, published this week. Honorees were chosen as beacons of relevancy and noted for making significant contributions to the profession, according to Accounting Today editors.
In their entry on Watson, the publication’s editors touted his leadership through a substantial period of growth and evolution for the firm, saying:
“Having successfully created a billion-dollar firm from the megamerger of BKD and DHG in 2022 might have been accomplishment enough for any CEO, but Watson topped that this year by combining with Mazars to create a brand-new top 10 international accounting network, becoming a global player overnight.”
