Forvis Mazars LLP, one of the largest public accounting and consulting firms in the United States, demonstrated its ongoing commitment to supporting and serving local communities through its firmwide IMPACT Days initiative this summer.
The third annual event, held in late June, included more than 2,300 team members who contributed over 9,300 volunteer hours in their communities, helping unlock the potential of nonprofit and civic organizations across the country. From Austin to Boston, employees across the firm participated in a wide range of local hands-on service projects supporting more than 100 nonprofits in all. These volunteer hours were paired in many cases with grants from the Forvis Mazars Foundation to elevate local impacts.
“Service is an important part of our culture and reflects our commitment to creating meaningful impact beyond the workplace,” said Amy Smith, chief talent officer for Forvis Mazars. “Seeing thousands of team members come together to support causes they care about is both inspiring and humbling. Through IMPACT Days, we continue to strengthen connections with our communities while helping nonprofits and civic organizations advance their important work.”
Highlights from this year included:
- In Austin and San Antonio, Foundation grants totaling $10,000 helped local food banks provide approximately 70,000 meals. Volunteers also assembled, packed, and sorted food supporting an additional 23,870 meals, helping create an overall impact reaching more than 100,000 families.
- In New Jersey, volunteers harvested nearly 6,600 pounds of turnips, resulting in approximately 26,400 servings of fresh produce for community members in need.
- In Philadelphia, team members supported conservation and education efforts at the Philadelphia Zoo by helping educate visitors about animals and ongoing conservation projects.
- In Oklahoma City, volunteers partnered with Positive Tomorrows, assisting with lunch service, recess activities, and arts and crafts programming for students experiencing homelessness.
- In Atlanta, volunteers partnered with the Boys & Girls Clubs to support three activity tracks: Field Day, leading games and sports activities; Arts & Crafts, encouraging creativity through hands-on projects; and Career Day, where volunteers shared career insights and mentorship with students.
- In Richmond, volunteers not only helped clean up James River Park, but also supported the construction of Chimborazo Elementary School’s new playground, helping create a safe and engaging outdoor space for students.
- During the Manager Development Experience training event held in Orlando, nearly 300 managers participated in building SmileKits for students returning to school this August. These kits included backpacks filled with school supplies and necessities to help children start the school year prepared and confident.
Beyond IMPACT Days
While IMPACT Days serves as an annual firmwide celebration of service, it represents just one part of the firm’s broader commitment to strengthening communities.
In FY 26, employees from Forvis Mazars completed 33,722 hours of community service, supporting organizations and causes across our communities through volunteerism, board service, mentorship, and nonprofit engagement.
In addition, through our Power of You initiative, the Forvis Mazars Foundation donated $10,000 to Meals on Wheels on behalf of the Summer 2026 intern class. Power of You empowers interns to learn about community impact and collectively vote to direct Foundation funding to a nonprofit of their choice, giving them an opportunity to make a meaningful difference from the start of their careers.
