INDIANAPOLIS – Forvis Mazars has appointed Ryan Swope as its next national practice leader for Loan Review. Swope is a principal with Forvis Mazars and has nearly 20 years of experience with the firm’s Loan Review and Financial Services Practice.
He succeeds John Bourquard, who will retire on May 31. Swope’s new duties officially begin this month, and he is working closely with Bourquard through May to ensure a seamless transition for clients across Forvis Mazars’ national footprint.
Swope has extensive experience managing loan review engagements and due diligence reviews for financial institutions. In addition to credit risk assessments, he provides consulting services in credit administration, cash flow analysis, loan underwriting, and loan collateral documentation. Before joining Forvis Mazars, Swope worked in the commercial credit department of a community bank.
“I’m honored to be chosen as our firm’s next leader for Loan Review and I look forward to working with our team members across the country to help clients unlock their full potential as they navigate an increasingly complex financial landscape,” Swope said.
“We’re thrilled to have Ryan step into this key leadership role,” said Angela Morelock, managing partner with Forvis Mazars’ risk, analytics, and public sector practice. “He truly understands the issues our clients face and will continue to provide them with an unmatched client experience, maintaining the high bar that John and the team have set over years.”
Swope is a graduate of Indiana University, Bloomington, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing and operations management.
