North Carolina — Forvis Mazars LLP, one of the largest public accounting and consulting firms in the United States, has appointed five leaders based in North Carolina to new regional and national leadership roles, effective Sept. 1.
These appointments reflect Forvis Mazars’ commitment to mentorship and intentional succession planning, which are hallmarks of the firm’s partner-owned and partner-led ownership model. This time-tested structure encourages investment in the long-term success of the firm, fostering an entrepreneurial environment, exceptional client experiences, and uncompromising quality.
The following partners have been named to new leadership roles:
Keith Giddens
Keith Giddens has been named managing partner of tax specialty services, which offers expert consulting and compliance solutions in the most complex and specialized areas of taxation. This national team is organized into four key verticals: international tax, state and local tax, federal tax specialty services, and the Washington National Tax Office.
Prior to taking on his new national role, Giddens had served as the managing partner of the Charlotte market since 2021, where he drove significant revenue and team expansion. He has also served in other leadership roles for Forvis Mazars in Washington, D.C., and Greenville, South Carolina. He will continue to reside in Charlotte.
As a leader, Giddens focuses on building valuable careers and helping clients achieve their goals. He does this with an eye on developing and retaining talent, leveraging the diverse skills of the team, and by delivering excellence in client service with speed and integrity. Giddens works with many international clients and management teams based in a variety of regions including South America, Europe, and Asia.
Thomas Boothby
Thomas Boothby has been named managing partner for the Charlotte market, following Giddens’ appointment to a national role. Boothby will continue in his current role as regional managing partner for the firm’s Mid-Atlantic region while also leading one of the firm’s largest practice units with a focus on providing an Unmatched Client Experience®.
During his career, Boothby has provided audit and consulting services to renewable energy companies, tax credit equity funds, as well as other privately held and family-owned Forvis Mazars clients. He understands the uniqueness of each business and values serving as a trusted advisor in helping business owners achieve their long-term objectives.
Matt Wood
Matt Wood has been named managing partner for the Triad and Triangle markets. Wood has deep roots in the region, and brings significant industry leadership experience to the role, having previously served as the firm’s national industry leader for commercial products.
Wood has more than 20 years of experience, specifically in the areas of corporate taxation and tax consulting. His ability to understand clients’ challenges helps him pair clients with the appropriate Forvis Mazars professionals to assist with core audit and tax services as well as other value-added offerings such as operational improvement, IT risk mitigation, international tax advisory, business valuation, internal audit, and services related to mergers and acquisitions.
Andy Page
Andy Page has been appointed national healthcare reimbursement leader. He has been a key contributor to the growth of this service area in recent years and will now lead it at the national level. In his role, Page will focus on strategic growth pursuits, talent development, and service alignment for healthcare reimbursement and regulatory services.
Page is a partner with the firm’s Healthcare Practice and has more than 25 years of experience focusing on healthcare reimbursement and regulatory compliance. He is a recognized thought leader on healthcare regulation and a frequent contributing correspondent and presenter on various industry-specific topics related to third-party payment systems and regulatory reform across the healthcare continuum.
Aprille Bell
Aprille Bell has been named national sector leader for Infrastructure Practice, which serves clients across industries including Construction, Architecture & Engineering, Energy & Natural Resources, and Agribusiness.
Bell is an assurance partner and has more than 30 years of experience serving clients, primarily in the construction industry. Her advisory services have assisted clients with regulatory requirements, complex accounting issues, mergers and acquisitions, internal control structure design and modification, and cash flow analysis and budgeting. Bell has served as the managing partner of the firm’s Central and Eastern North Carolina practice unit since 2022 and has served as a member of the Governing Board.
