INDIANAPOLIS – Brian Baker has joined Forvis Mazars Capital Advisors as a managing director. Forvis Mazars Capital Advisors is the FINRA-registered broker-dealer and investment banking arm of Forvis Mazars, LLP, one of the largest public accounting and consulting firms in the United States.
In his new role, Baker will serve clients regionally, nationally, and internationally, continuing the firm’s investment banking growth across the United States and around the world.
Baker has more than 25 years of experience advising clients on mergers and acquisitions, recapitalizations, and both private and public securities offerings. His transaction experience includes representing private, family-owned, and public companies in domestic and international transactions across a variety of industries. Prior to joining Forvis Mazars, Baker held senior banking positions at investment banks ranging in scope from regional middle-market firms to publicly traded Wall Street firms. Prior to capital advisory, he practiced as an attorney in the areas of corporate transactional law, financial institutions law, tax law, and securities law; before that, he practiced as a certified public accountant.
“I am excited to join a firm with such a strong reputation for client service and growth opportunities for team members,” Baker said. “I am eager to help our clients understand and evaluate their strategic options and achieve their goals as they approach milestones and transitions in the lifecycle of their businesses.”
“We are thrilled to have Brian join our team,” said Scott Linch, managing partner for Forvis Mazars Capital Advisors. “His extensive experience advising family- and founder-owned businesses, as well as his work with larger middle-market companies, will serve our clients well. I look forward to seeing Brian bring his valuable insights to our clients at a time when we are seeing growing demand for investment banking services nationwide.”
Baker has a B.B.A. degree from the University of Notre Dame and a J.D. degree from the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law.
